The Robert and Gretta Wilkinson Science Scholarship is open for award annually to students enrolled in Bachelor of Science who are in financial need and from a rural background. Preference will be given to students who intend to pursue a career in teaching science. The scholarship is intended to support tuition costs and living expenses.
Application Due Date: 5:00 pm, Sunday 8 March 2020
Value: $8000 in total (more than one award may be made per year).
To be eligible for the award applicants must:
· be enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor of Science in the Faculty of Science
· have a weighted average mark that makes them eligible to apply for the Master of Teaching.
· be from a rural background
· be in financial need. Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form and applications will be assessed and ranked by Scholarships & Bursaries (University Services) using the Student Financial Assessment process
The awarding of the Robert and Gretta Wilkinson Scholarship is based on financial need and strength of application. To apply, eligible students must complete the following TWO steps:
1. Complete and submit the application form by 5:00 pm, Sunday 8 March 2020.
AND
2. Apply for a financial need assessment by submitting an online application for a University of Melbourne (https://scholarships.unimelb.edu.au/awards/student-grants), by 5:00 pm, Sunday 8 March 2020.
