About the Award

This award supports graduate research students in the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences undertaking travel to attend conferences, fieldwork, etc. as part of a Study Away request.

Benefits

  • Domestic travel (within Australia) awards up to $1500
  • International travel awards up to $3000

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you need to:

  • be enrolled in a graduate research course in the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences (SAFES) at the University of Melbourne
  • be enrolled at the time of proposed travel. Travel during leave of absence or after thesis submission will not be supported
  • be confirmed in your candidature if applicable*

Please note:

  • Graduate researchers may receive one SAFES-TAS grant in the year of the award, and a maximum of two grants throughout their candidature.
  • Masters by research graduate researchers may receive one travel grant throughout their candidature.
