Jasper Loftus-Hills Award 2026

The Jasper Loftus-Hills Award was established through the generosity of Mr and Mrs K Loftus-Hills in 1974, in memory of their son Jasper James Loftus-Hills. The award is offered to graduate researchers who are undertaking research in Zoology. ​ 

To be considered for this ​scholarship​, candidates must be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy – Science in Zoology. 

The award is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application.

You must submit an application and include:

• A personal statement addressing the details and benefits of your research project and how funds may be used to support a currently unfunded research project linked to your thesis
• A budget proposal
• A letter of support from your supervisor

​​​Recipients must agree to give permission for the University to provide their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and to provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.​​ 

All scholarship outcomes will be sent via SmartyGrants.
