The School of Chemistry established the T.W. Healy Award in 2002 to commemorate the distinguished career of Emeritus Professor T.W. Healy, co-founder of the Australian Colloid and Surface Chemistry Student Conference, Dean of the Faculty of Science (1985-1990),President of the Academic Board (1997-1998) and Professor of Physical Chemistry until his retirement in 1998.
The T.W. Healy Award is offered to graduate researchers who are enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in the School of Chemistry and are undertaking travel for the purpose of presenting their research at a conference. Preference is given to students pursuing research in the field of Colloid and Surface Chemistry.
