About the Scholarship

Association Geology Group in 1991, alongside friends and colleagues of the late Professor Emeritus Edwin Sherbon Hills (1906-1986), a distinguished scientist and internationally renowned geologist. He was known as an innovative, eclectic and multidisciplinary scientist who produced more than 130 important scholarly publications covering fossil fish, acid igneous volcanism, physiography and structural geology. For over four decades he was one of Australia’s most widely known and influential geologists.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

  • Be enrolled in the first year of a Master of Geoscience or Master of Science (Earth Sciences) under a full time study load,
  • Demonstrate Financial Need by completing the online Student Financial Assessment Form 
  • have achieved a minimum course entry score of 80%

Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:

  • Academic merit,
  • Level of disadvantage based on financial need,

Outcome

All scholarship outcomes will be sent via SmartyGrants.
