About the Scholarship

Established in 1920 by Associate Professor Georgina Sweet, one of Melbourne University's first women science students and the first woman to be conferred as a Doctor of Science by the University.

This award is offered every two years, and it is intended to support research that will allow students to expand a research project or thesis in an interesting way.

This award is intended to support research that will allow you to expand your project or thesis.

This award is approximately $8000 per annum.

All GR students in the broad area of zoology are eligible to apply, but we expect that mid-degree candidates will be in the best position.  By this stage of your degree, your research plans will be well-developed and you’ll have some results.
