About the Donor

Angela Findlay (1972 - 2018), grew up in regional Victoria and was a talented Food Scientist. Angela had boundless energy and curiosity for both the world around her and her chosen profession. She smiled warmly, had a wicked laugh, and connected easily with others.

In Angela’s early professional life she had strong mentors who nurtured her passions and abilities. Before long she too found herself managing and mentoring Science graduates.

After 20+ years working both locally and internationally, Angela began Food Science Consulting, driven to help develop and grow the Australian Food Industry.

Angela was enthusiastic about developing talent and wanted others to have the same opportunities and positive experiences she had enjoyed. Angela’s family have established this award to honor her legacy.
