Ian Ferguson Leadership Award

The Ian Ferguson Leadership Scholarship is to be awarded to student who can demonstrate academic excellence and provide examples of leadership contribution and development within the University of Melbourne community and society.

This award is offered to a high achieving student enrolled in the first year of the Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation or its successor, who can demonstrate: 

  • Leadership contributions to the University, for example, leadership development programs, mentoring roles, student ambassadorial roles; and/or, 
  • Leadership development and activities outside the University, 
  • Academic achievement as measured by performance in first 50 credit points of the Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation, or its successor. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you need to:

  • Be enrolled in the first year of the Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation, or its successor.
  • Provide a statement to the school outlining:
    • Their interest in the program of study,
    • Insights into their career interests,
    • Leadership contributions and activities within and outside the university.

Outcome

All scholarship outcomes will be sent via SmartyGrants.
