Ethel And William Walters Memorial Scholarship 2025

The Ethel and William Walters Memorial Scholarship is offered to outstanding students who are enrolling in the Doctor of Philosophy – Science and undertaking research in Veterinary Science.

​​The scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of $2000 per year for 3.5 years. ​ 

To be considered for this scholarship, students must have applied for and meet the requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy – Veterinary Science

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application and entry score. When determining the successful candidate for this award, other awards received by candidates are considered.

Students must submit an application and include:

• Personal statement addressing the purpose of and commitment to their research
• Curriculum vitae including leadership experience, publications or presentations related to their field of research
• Statement of support from their supervisor

Students must:

• Maintain satisfactory academic progress during their candidature
• Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested
