About the Scholarship

The Margaret Catto Scholarship was established through the generosity of the late Mrs Annie Pemberton of Taunton, England, who made a bequest in memory of her mother, Margaret Catto, to support higher degree study discipline of zoology in the School of BioSciences.

This scholarship s awarded to graduate researchers who are undertaking research in Zoology and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.  

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must

  • be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy – Science in Zoology.

Please ensure you submit a Student Financial Need Assessment Form in order to be assessed for this scholarship.

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their financial assessment score and the alignment of their research with the field of Zoology. 

In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by candidates are considered.  

Conditions

Recipients must agree to give permission for the University to provide their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and to provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested. 

Outcome

All scholarship outcomes will be sent via SmartyGrants.
